Saturday Tastings!
April 15, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
We have made it half way through the month and it time to raise a glass. Saturday’s tasting is all about bubbles! We are starting off with Black Bubbles. A sparkling Shiraz from down under. A truly fun surprise!
Davey & Browne – Black Bubbles Sparkling Shiraz – Deep garnet in colour with vibrant magenta bubbles. Aromas of concentrated blackcurrant with hints of liquorice, spice and dark cherries. Creamy bubbles and luscious sweetness envelop the plump blackberry mid-palate, which is enhanced with hints of savoury development. The long sweet fruit finish is balanced with fine tannin and acidity. No animal products are used in the production of this wine. $19 bottle
Mazarini Prosecco – Clear, pale straw color. Nose of lime and minerals. Dry, light body, medium plus acidity. Palate of lime zest, minerals, melon. Simple and refreshing $11 bottle
Cinzano Prosecco – The Cinzano family as one of the most historic sparkling wine makers in Italy. Bringing over 260 years of expertise and using traditional methods to produce their Cinzano Prosecco D.O.C. Cinzano Prosecco is fresh, fizzy and fruity, with mostly apple and pear-ish flavours. Prosecco has a sweet scent and a soft touch in the mouth.$13 bottle
Bollicni Prosecco – Imagine taking a dip into the Mediterranean Sea on a bright, sunny day, with a cool breeze tickling your skin…. Sound good? Well, this first sip is like that first dip! Fresh and crisp, our sparkling white wine has fragrant notes of apple, peach and pear and a light effervescence that will make you feel uplifted and refreshed. Cin cin! $12 bottle
Monetto Avantgarde Prosecco Brut – This dry, well-structured sparkling Prosecco stands out for its luminous straw yellow hue and for its emphatic yet stylish mousse. The bouquet is redolent of Golden Delicious apple, while the palate is appealingly marked by aromatic notes of honey, black liquorice, and acacia blossom. $14
